INS Launches Web-Based Case Status System

INS has made available an internet case status inquiry system. It provides the
same type of information as provided on the telephone based TIERS system -
namely, the case has been approved, case is pending, a Request for Evidence
(RFE) was issued, a Response to the RFE was received by INS, and in general,
somewhat inaccurate case processing time estimates.
However, this should enable users to access case status information during
regular business hours - something which is difficult to do by calling the
TIERS telephone numbers for each INS service center.
